Engagement Session Prep

Yay! It's time for your engagement session! This session will allow us to get to know each other and will give be kind of like a "dress rehearsal" for your wedding day!

Now, you may have never had pro photos taken or maybe you have. But my goal is to make this a fun, relaxing experience. During our session, I'm going to ask you some questions and have you play some games..the is to take your minds off the camera, to have fun and love on on another.

The additional tips below will allow you to have the best possible session. Remember, no single session is perfect, and I don't want it to be! As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.

What do I wear?

Do you need some help determining outfits and coordinating?

Make it your own

Your photos should be as unique as you are. I encourage you to add any element of "you" that you'd like! Bring your dog. Go back to a place that is special to your relationship.

Get in close

My favorite pictures are the ones where you can feel the love. Get in close. Cozy up, Snuggle. If your fiance has never seen my style of photos before, explain to them why you love it so they can get a better understanding of the way I do things!

It's all about feeling the connection between people in the pictures. And remember, not everyone has to be looking at the camera at the same time. As long as you're together and showing each other love, that's alright with me.

Have fun!

This is really the most important part about your engagement session. Let loose a little bit because a little fun and laughter really brings out your personalities and makes for some awesome pictures.

The majority of the session will be the two of you interacting with each other. Tell inside jokes to each other. Be ridiculous. Be how you would be at home.

So relax, goof-off a bit and let yourself have a good time!

Some final words of wisdom...

*Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. Rushing to the session will most likely result in a rushed feeling during the session!

*Don't come hungry! This could make for some cranky adults...or if you're going out for a dinner/date night after, have a light snack beforehand!

*Last but not least...remember that I'm an everyday person that takes pictures of everyday people :)
